Dining room, It’s …Done?

Once I get an idea in my head, I can’t seem to stop thinking about it, analyzing it, scheming or dreaming about it. My poor husband. Such is the case with this dining room. I finally got all the little details pulled together, so lets take a look!

The door molding was very simple, I just cut and air-nailed it to the door since I couldn’t find any glue (plus, the air nail-gun is waaaay more fun than elmers)

Once I saw how good the door looked, that brass chandelier didn’t stand a chance.

This room has certainly changed, I feel with one room mostly done, this is now starting to feel like OUR house, not just a house I am decorating.

What’s left in this room? I would like, at some point, to get a table that all 4 chairs can tuck under, probably a pedestal base. And with that, I would bet we will get new chairs. There’s nothing actually wrong or bad about these chairs, but I bought them from target online to go in the old house, and from the moment I opened them I hated the cream color (they were advertised as gray). I think I would like something a little more sleek and sophisticated. The flooring will eventually be replaced when we do the first floor reno (cream carpet everywhere else. whyyyyy.) to a medium-to-dark brown plank (wood, vinyl, laminate, way too soon to tell), similar color to the maple hardwood in our old house. If I could take anything from that house and put it here, it would be that gorgeous flooring!

But for now, I am putting  this room to rest. On to the next room!
