When we get visitors, we have a nice big backyard or living room downstairs to usher people to, but have never had a good gathering spot for meals. Our current dining room can only fit about three people, but that is about to change!

This project wasn’t on my radar for this year, but once we tore the carpet out in the upstairs living room, we knew a bigger, prettier dining room was on the horizon.

We installed the same flooring as in the basement, and by doing so has made the room feel larger, and more importantly, cleaner.

Starting with this beautiful blank slate has been exciting and challenging, here is what we are thinking for the vibe we’re going for:

The table we want has been out of stock for quite sometime, so here’s hoping by end of summer we’ll have something to show:)
